Park Road PTSA funds a portion of our Park Road field trips, with the exception of Challenger Learning Center missions, which we fund in their entirety. We also fund assemblies in part or in whole. 

 

Recently, the Elementary Academic Council (EAC) identified a list of common field trips that all Pittsford students should experience, regardless of which elementary school they attend. In creating the list, members of the EAC sought input from teachers at their buildings, and then considered: 

​

• Experiences that are directly related to grade level curriculum expectations.

• The ability to provide opportunities that connect with a broad range of curricular areas over the six years.

• The ability to provide opportunities for our students to experience a wide range of significant community resources, prioritizing those that they might not be as likely to experience with their family.

 

Individual elementary school buildings and grade-level teachers can then also include ADDITIONAL field trip experiences for their students as time, interest, and financial resources allow.

Here is a list of field trips that Park Road Elementary students typically go on by grade-level. The starred ones are the common ones identified by the EAC. The non-starred ones are extra field trips added by Park Road teachers and staff. The additions are subject to change year-on-year. Assemblies can also change on a yearly basis.
