Room Parents

Two parents per class serve as room parents. If you are interested in volunteering, fill out the interest form on the volunteer page. Parents selected as room parents will be contacted​ in August and will be asked to attend a short information meeting.

Responsibilities

Open House (held week prior to school start)

• Arrive 15 minutes early

• Help with field trip and class activity sign-up sheets

• Remind parents to sign-up for volunteer opportunities and school directory information online

Other

• Distribute Class Friendship Lists (list will be provided to you in excel format)

• Reminder emails or phone calls for class and some school activities

• Requests to parents for class materials (as needed)

• Answer questions from parents

• Coordinate teacher recognition/appreciation gift (May)

• Up to $5 per student may be collected for this day only
